Note on fuel tank breather hoses
CBR600RR |
| |
| |
| Two pipes protruding from under the fuel tank, the large diameter one is "overflow tube" and the other small diameter one is "air vent tube". The air vent tube is connected to the catch tank (250cc or more) via one-way valves. If the catch tank is installed at a high position, over-flowed gasoline accumulates in tubes, causing hoses to be clogged. This may cause atmospheric pressure not to be applied to the tank during running, resulting in gas shortage. Check that gasoline is not inside the overflow tube after running with the tank full or servicing the machine by raising the tank rearward. |
