It good to have a tool to check the float level because the shop Manuel does not have a give you a measurement to set it by. great produce to have.

Lower than recommended fuel level can't be checked without a homemade adapter that replaces and seals the float bowl plug and allows attachment of the gauge tubing.  Otherwise, the float tang has to be set so that the fuel reaches an overflow height before you can measure the level.
